TERMS & CONDITIONS
Deorhi is the premium journeys, travel, and experiences vertical of Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited (BCCL), also known as The Times of India Group, one of India’s oldest and most trusted media conglomerates. Deorhi operates under the aegis of BCCL, curating bespoke journeys and experiences for discerning audiences. All services offered under the Deorhi brand are aligned with the governance, standards, and oversight of Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited.
Booking & Payment
1.1. Full payment is required to confirm participation unless otherwise specified.
1.2. Any upgrades requested by the guest after confirmation will be charged additionally, subject to availability.
Inclusions & Exclusions
2.1. Inclusions:
2.1.1. Airport transfers for both arrival and departure.
2.1.2. Accommodation as specified in the itinerary.
2.1.3. Entry tickets and VIP passes, as applicable, for any performances and experiences that form part of our package.
2.1.4. All local transportation in premium private vehicles reserved exclusively for Deorhi guests.
2.1.5. Vegetarian breakfast, lunch, tea, and dinner, along with dry snacks and mineral water.
2.1.6. Curated performances and sessions that form part of the itinerary.
2.1.7. Dedicated Deorhi concierge for select journeys.
2.1.8. Award winning travel hosts for select journeys.
2.2. Accommodation begins with check-in from 2:00 PM on Day 1 of the itinerary and is included until 11:00 AM on the last day of the journey.
2.3. Exclusions:
2.3.1. Flights or arrival to the origin airport / origin point of the journey as per itinerary
2.3.2. Early check-in / late check-out
2.3.3. Non-vegetarian food and alcohol (which may be purchased separately, directly from the hotel or restaurant, at the guest’s own cost)
2.3.4. Shopping and additional food & beverage; mini bar; à-la-carte / in-room dining
2.3.5. Any other deviation from the defined itinerary.
Cancellations & Refunds (Guest-initiated)
3.1. More than 30 days before the journey start: 80% refund.
3.2. 15–30 days before the journey start: 50% journey credit, redeemable against a future Deorhi journey.
3.3. Less than 15 days before the journey start: No refund.
3.4. Partial participation or early exit is not eligible for refunds.
3.5 Should Deorhi need to cancel a journey due to any exigency that is attributable to Deorhi, (ie, the cancellation is not guest-initiated), a full refund shall be credited to the guest within 12-15 working days.
3.6 Revel journeys are built around festivals and celebrations. To protect the experience, arrangements are made individually for each guest and committed well in advance, and so cancellations on these journeys are not eligible for refunds.
3.7 Refund timing: Deorhi shall initiate refunds within 14 days of receiving the refund request and all information that may be needed from customer to initiate such refund.
Non-Arrival / Delayed Arrival
4.1. Guests are responsible for arriving at the designated starting point on time.
4.2. If a guest misses any segment due to delayed flights, personal delays, or logistical issues on their end, Deorhi will assist in rejoining them with the group, but refunds cannot be provided for missed portions.
4.3. Any additional transport or arrangements required for rejoining will be charged at actuals.
Changes in Itinerary (Force Majeure & Operational Adjustments)
5.1. Itinerary modifications may be required due to weather, government directives, VIP movement, safety advisories, or operational constraints.
5.2. Any changes will preserve the overall integrity and experience of the journey.
5.3. In the rare event an entire day cannot proceed due to external factors, a proportional goodwill credit or refund may be issued.
5.4. All darshan, rituals, and access at temples or sacred sites are governed by the respective authorities. Deorhi will make all arrangements for priority/VIP darshan as planned, subject to permissions, security situations, and crowd conditions.
Indemnity
6.1. In consideration of being permitted to participate in this journey, the guest, on their own behalf and on behalf of their heirs, representatives, and family members travelling with them, agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Deorhi, Bennett, Coleman and Company Limited, and their respective partners, vendors, drivers, guides, hosts, and staff (together, “the Organisers”) against any claims, losses, costs, or expenses arising from:
a) Injury, illness, or death during the journey, including conditions related to altitude, pre-existing medical issues, or activities undertaken as part of the itinerary;
b) Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings;
c) Acts or omissions of third-party vendors, transport providers, homestays, or local partners engaged for the journey;
d) Delays, changes, or cancellations arising from the circumstances described under Changes in Itinerary (Force Majeure & Operational Adjustments) above.
6.2. The Organisers will make reasonable efforts to accommodate and adjust to unforeseen circumstances, but cannot guarantee specific outcomes. For example, in the event of a flight delay or cancellation, the program will commence as planned and the guest will be integrated into the journey as seamlessly as possible upon arrival. In the event of a medical situation, basic first-aid support and supplies will be available on the ground, though guests remain responsible for their own specialised care.
Health, Wellness & Medical Care
7.1. Journeys may involve walking, stairs, crowds, and variable weather, but Deorhi is committed to ensuring guest wellbeing.
7.2. While Deorhi provides basic on-ground medical support, including first-aid supplies, guests are advised to carry their own regular medication and any specialised supplies they may require. Further, guests remain responsible for their personal medical decisions, existing conditions, and any specialised care beyond what can reasonably be provided during travel.
7.3. Guests must inform us in advance of any medical conditions so that we can prepare appropriately where possible.
Behaviour, Sensitivity & Cultural Compliance
8.1. All sacred, heritage, cultural, and community sites have their own codes of conduct.
8.2. Guests are expected to follow dress codes, photography restrictions, and instructions issued by local authorities or custodians.
8.3. Respectful behaviour is essential to ensure the sanctity of the experience. Any violation may lead to removal from that segment without refund.
Accommodation & Transport
9.1. Journey pricing covers the accommodations, transport, and hospitality specified in the itinerary.
9.2. Any upgrades or additional requests made by the guest will be charged extra and fulfilled subject to availability.
9.3. Transport timings must be followed to ensure a smooth experience flow.
Personal Belongings & Valuables
10.1. Deorhi will provide a recommended protocol for safeguarding valuables (such as lockers, hotel safes, guided handling at temples, etc.). However, all responsibility for guests’ belongings rests solely with guests.
10.3. Deorhi cannot assume liability for loss of items for the duration of the journey.
Photography, Documentation & Compliance
11.1. Some sacred and cultural sites may have photography restrictions. Guests are encouraged to comply with these rules to maintain respect and harmony.
11.2. Guests may be photographed or videographed for memory capsules and documentation unless they choose to opt out in writing.
Insurance
12.1. It is recommended that guests have their own health insurance. On some journeys, Deorhi may arrange travel insurance covering emergency accidental hospitalization.
Governing Law
13.1. These terms are governed by Indian law.
13.2. All disputes fall under the jurisdiction of Mumbai courts.
