A meeting with Toda tribal culture, led by scholars who have spent decades with this community. The Todas are among the oldest inhabitants of the Nilgiris - barrel-vaulted huts, a pastoral economy, a polyandrous social structure. History, song, dance, and conversation.

Tea at the source

Tranquilitea is a 30-acre organic estate run by fourth-generation planter Sandeep Subramani. Walk the rows, watch the plucking, follow the leaf through the factory. The 90-minute guided tasting has been rated by Condé Nast Traveller as one of the seven best tea experiences in the world.

Walk the highlands

Dodabetta Peak at 2,637 metres - the highest point in the Nilgiris. Sim’s Park’s 12-hectare botanical terraces.
